Most people that are wanting to purchase their first property purchase for one of two reasons. Lifestyle, they want to move out of their family home or want to stop renting and purchase a property for them to live and grow.
Or to grow their wealth and secure their financial future through the vehicle that is property investing.
So we ask you this: Why are you purchasing a property?

Owning Your Own Home:

Also known as the great Australian dream! Owning your home has been the dream for many generations in Australia and is by far the most popular way to make money from property.
There are some benefits to owning your own home that you may not be aware of one of these being, owning your own home has the great advantage of being free of Capital Gains Tax.
So, apart from all the other emotional and lifestyle benefits of living in your own home, your home, if you have purchased wisely, is likely to rise in value substantially, especially if held for a long term.
Later in life, many homeowners choose to downsize and free up considerable capital in the process which will enable them to enjoy retirement to the fullest.

Investing in property:

Unlike buying a home to live in, an investment property is usually bought with the goal of making money (usually via rent). So, things that might be important when looking to buy a home (such as proximity to your workplace) might not be as important in an investment property.
There are many reasons why investing in property continues to be a popular choice and is often seen as one of the best ways to invest money in Australia. However, mistakes can be expensive, so it’s always a good idea to think about why you’re investing in the first place, and whether it fits with your set of circumstances.
